Sara and Real Ketones

•What is a ketogenic diet?
A Ketogenic diet is quite simply any diet that forces the body into a process called ketosis, whereby fats are burned instead of carbohydrates for use as energy. A proper Ketogenic diet calls for the dieter to consume high amounts of fat, adequate amounts of protein, and very low amounts of carbohydrates. Our bodies are used to turning carbohydrates into glucose to send all over the body as energy. When we enter ketosis by sufficiently limiting our carbohydrate intake, our livers start breaking down fat cells into fatty acids and ketones, to be used as energy.
Why should I try Keto?
Well, there are plenty of reasons why, firstly, unlike many trendy diets, the ketogenic diet is backed by science, (for those who do not know, I am a very curious human and I’m very interested in science and the potential of research and technological development) I have never followed any diet, although I like to eat healthily, and the benefits are immense… it benefits and prevents plenty of health conditions such as Epilepsy, Metabolic syndrome (prediabetes), Glycogen Storage Disease, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Diabetes, some Cancers, Autism, Parkinson’s Disease, Obesity, GLUT1 Deficiency Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Migraine Headaches… the list is growing. Also I will be having better brain function, a decrease in inflammation, increased energy levels and improved body composition.
Diet doesn’t always mean weight loss, it can mean eating healthy. Of course some people use the Ketogenic Diet to lose weight, it has that potential, and it’s great for that, so if that is your case, go ahead, talk to your doctor and nutritionist and go for it!
Why do I use Exogenous Ketones?
To help me kickstart my metabolism and feel better and more energized. Exogenous ketones are a great tool to get you into ketosis or to boost your energy levels while you’re already in ketosis.⠀⠀
