Who is Sara Moura
Sara Moura, a Portuguese actress and producer, is a versatile artist with a passion for comedy. Her artistic journey began at EPAOE – Chapitô (Performance and Circus School), under the tutelage of celebrated professors such as Ávila Costa, Francisco Salgado, and Rute Dutra. She honed her voice and singing skills under the guidance of Sara Belo, perfected her mime technique with the renowned Gardi Hutter, and mastered physical theatre with John Mowat. Her journey of artistic exploration continued with her taking part in a Masterclass on Commedia dell’Arte with world-renowned Carlo Boso.
She has interned with Jorge Listopad at Teatro de Municipal de Almada, where she gained valuable experience as an assistant director and actress. Since 2006, she has been a part of Artistas Unidos, working under the direction of Jorge Silva Melo and Franzisca Aarflot.
In 2009, Sara made her film debut in the movie António Lobo Antunes: Escrever, Escrever, Viver, directed by Solveig Nordlund. She has worked as an actress and production manager at SKOOKUM FILMS since 2012, where she collaborates on various projects with filmmaker Nuno Sá Pessoa. In 2015, she starred in the documentary short film Je Suis Sousa Mendes, directed by the esteemed Brazilian director Cloves Mendes. She was also a member of the film selection jury at the Arroios Film Festival in Lisbon.
Sara’s artistic prowess is not limited to the stage, as she also works in voice-over projects, DJing, media, and content creation.
Sara’s love for comedy is evident in her creation of the Make Comedy Offensive Again hat, which has gained worldwide recognition.
Currently, Sara is residing in the beautiful island of Sardinia, Italy, seeking her next adventure. Her honest demeanor and versatile body of work serve as a testament to her dedication.
